Here's how it turned out
I was leaning towards the "milk bottle" shape myself.
And yes. those are ridges, not beads.
The vase blank in the clamp is 13-1/2 inches, so the clamp is obviously longer. I can measure it tomorrow.
Don't remember if I got it at Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply or Agway, but this is the DARN Best clamp out there for medium to large...
