Hello folks...I have skils in different areas included food.See the pictures of Apricot Chicken below.
www.nickstellino.com
In Brazil part of our culture is still buying garlic bulb and smash at home...We do it a lot instead of buying comercial ready to use jars.
We can find at streets a mortar and pestle made by rare wood...Many years ago I bought this pestle alone for almost nothing. Now it's so used and I choose a new job for it...a handle.
I visited Lee Valley store and found this small scraper but is too expensive in my opinion.
Back home I decided to make one by myself.
Bahco has a detail scraper too
I found the inserts at Aliexpress (waiting yet).
just copied the design.
I need to decide about the tip...wood or brass.
I love brass and wood matching. My friend had a metal lathe and do the tip for free...I"ll decide.
The old pestle (no finish)
Tulip Wood...broken head
Cut at yellow tape
Choose in add brass here to attach the cutters
Or make a brass tip like these using more wood (not long as LV metal part)
Lee Valley model
Bahco model
Apricot chicken from Nick Stellino book
The smell I can't post
With mashed potatoes
Thanks for attention
