Adirondack chair and child's bench both made from SPF lumber from the big box store.

I have built several and my first one I used wipe on poly but only because it sits on a covered porch not. In direct sunlight but these 2 I built for my sister an niece nephews and it is sitting in the sun so Ieft the wood to look natural and did 4 coats of varathane Spar varnish. I built them a lil over a year ago and minus the crayons and markers they still look great.
