Advice flattening paper backed veneer

I have a some salvage of paper backed teak veneer that was stored in a roll. I want to use this, can't seem to flatten it out! Tried a light spray with water, then dried between slabs in the flat. Nope, just ruined the lamination between paper and veneer. Tried just flatten and weight, no, the curl seems to be too resilient. What works?

I flattened mine by laying it out in the sun in July...

I have no idea. I have always completely avoided paper backed veneer.

Contact Martin or Gibson. They can do better than me. Steaming works, but ruins the backing.
