I'm in the market for 2-6x6x2 or 2-1/2 thick ash bowl blanks. Figured would be nice but doesn't have to be so long as they are clear and centered grain.

I just split some white ash firewood 2 weeks ago that had some light figure. Got some 5" x 5" x 16" pieces along with some Bird's eye ash I set aside.
$15 plus shipping.

Got some movement going on !
Those thinner inch and a half pieces are ready to slide through a planer and turn into a board. Wouldn't be the worst thing to have bird's eye ash and curly ash boards lying about.

Question, Emerald Ash Borer came through and hammered our trees the last 2 years heavy. I noticed that those that seem to be hanging on are the auburn, red leaf and purple fall colored White ash. Have you noticed anything.?. None of our Green ash have survived. I have not been in the swamps, so not sure about our Black ash.
