Went to the farm yesterday to do some smallie fishing. Well, the EAB has struck hard over there. Every Ash tree in the creek bottom is dead. I wish I had a mill. The state is coming through and paving the dirt road too. Gonna be taking a bunch of trees out that the owner gets.

My Mom had a huge green ash tree in her yard that had to be taken down because of the EAB.
    Destructive little buggers for certain.

We will have EAB in the near future it is only a country or 2 away, probably here now but just haven't seen it. Really a terrible thing ash is such a useful wood. I have 20 or more veneer and saw log quality trees on my property and 100 s of small and firewood trees. I hope to mill some for future use but I will never be able to salvage them all. My son has a commercial logging operation so I will let him whole tree harvest the remainder for pulp and fuel chips.
