Got an old 12" Sears that cuts rough, but in a pattern shown in photos. I thought I had things properly adjusted, but apparently not. I know this saw will cut better than this, where do I start?
Thanks!
1¼" pine, across or with grain doesn't matter.

Thanks guys! Figured with the photos, somebody could give me advice.
I thought I had put this one, new, on not that long ago. Got another one, will see how that cuts.
Find the weld and take a good look at how the teeth are aligned. ........... Jerry (in Tucson)
What am I looking for?

Two teeth at same set next to each other. Instead of alternate tooth set, they might be the same close together. Sometimes that happens when blades are made if the guy making them doesn't cut it properly.

If I had an old blade like what I described, I'd show you, but mine broke at the weld before they got dull. ................ Jerry (in Tucson)

Progress!
Switched to different blades, no better. Found one so dull that threw it away. Found several videos on adjustments and increased tension and set blade guide blocks tighter and big improvement!
Much happier this morning and ready to use again.
No $$$ spent either....always a plus!
Thanks for the tips!

Glad that you got things smoothed out.

I had similar rough patterns that got progressively worse when the lower wheel bearings were going out. Inspection next time that the blade is off isn't a bad idea

Maybe you know about him, but there’s a bandsaw guru (Jet/Powermatic/other) named Alex Snodgrass, who does a lot of demos on bandsaw set-up and maintenance. I think you can probably find him on YouTube if you search. Anyway- we had him do a remote club demo once and he’ll pretty much teach you everything you need to know about bandsaws. Might be worth a look if you have the time and need.

Yes, have heard of his videos. May have watched him in the past.
What helped me today was reading a Timber Wolf description of how to tension the blade. Before, I was using the markings on the saw, which turned out to be too loose.
