I have had so many changes since October my head is still spinning. Today I finally got to mill some wood that will get stickered. Irma killed over 200 trees on this guy’s property. Black Mangrove is usually super regulated. I had a lucky score that will become guitar tops. Thanks and I hope to be more active.

Wow, that is wild- color reminds me of “sinker redwood” where it has variegations of brown and chocolate! Nice score Les! Is that for a laminated flat top (1/4”) over a solid body guitar wood?

I don’t know what sound you are after, but some of those “torrefied” maple as a neck would go with that color.

Les, is the grey color sapwood that has stained. Happens often with black mangrove when left in the round. I just was working a few pieces today from a fellow WB member.

It will be for electric. I will try acoustics soon but need to build more jigs.

You are correct. I will do a little epoxy work and it will be for electric tops. Way to dense for acoustic any way.

Probably this is the first I’ve had but it has been on the ground since Irma rolled through.

Life has been crazy. My mother has dementia so we moved down to help her. Since my step dad has had 3 strokes and is in the hospital where they are trying to figure out what is going on. On top of that I spent about a month fighting pneumonia. I am just now getting better. Things are on the upswing now!

    Just Wow !
I did the pneumonia thing for 5 1/2 weeks in Sept-Oct . What do they have you on ? Doxycycline didn't cut it for mine . The had to go to Levaquin . Thankfully , it worked . Fever was up to 103.5 at it's worst .
    Hang in there !

It was one I hadn’t seen before. Axo something or other. 10 days worth. Left the worst taste in my mouth.

The Levaquin made my pee smell like bacon . Both made me very sensitive to sunlight . Once the odor was gone from the Levaquin , I knew it was safe to go out in the sun . I kid you not . Mine actually progressed to double before the Levaquin .
Welcome back from the dark side and stay .
I did some checking and while the Doxycycline failed to dent the Pneumonia , I did joke with the doc that it is likely that there were no STD's in me had any been present . The doc just laughed and smiled . Doctors get that type of humor rather well .
