Big ‘ol poplar bowl

This is undoubtedly the largest bowl I’ve turned and am pleased with the results. About 16” diameter which barely allows banjo to slide under the bowl. About 6” deep.

Did you burn it, or was it that color naturally?

Thanks! All natural color. Finish is walnut oil. Here’s pic while on lathe before finishing.

Really nice Tim! I’ve passed on a lot of poplar but after seeing this I may have to cut into some from time to time. Well done!
