Box Elder Pumpkins

    A friend that has come out a few times to give me a hand made these out of box elder.
    The guy is a phenomenal chainsaw carver and wood carver.
    I think the picture speaks for just a tad bit of what he can do.

    Here's a bear that I had him make for a gift of sorts.
    The man in the picture is who I bought my mobile home and property from and between him and his wife they had spent the last 30 years or better making the place simply beautiful. Well, a bunch of it had to get hacked out to make room for my new shop, along with a beautiful blue spruce. I had Aaron carve them this bear out of the base of theblue spruce to kind of soften the blow and to let them know that it did actually bother me a bit to wreck what they had spent so much of their lives making.

    Wow, those are spectacular- I feel bad for those who takes out a carving knife to carve faces on those for Halloween :wacko:
