These were mostly made with the maple from the tree felled in my buddy's neighbor's yard. Secondary woods are santos mahogany, Gabon ebony and African blackwood.

Your material blending is spot on.
Your woods compliment each other making it more than just boxes. They remind me of small Homes from different cultures.

Very nice, cool choice of knob on second one...very unique. I like how both are elevated on the tapered corners. Classy!

@ripjack13 Artistic expression. I have a few notebooks I just do sketches of possible designs for cabinets, segmented turnings, boxes, knives, etc. with different design features. Most never get made, but some I figure might be worth the effort and give it a whirl.
