First box is curly spalted BLM with African blackwood corner posts and the lid is plum with Santos mahogany strips and African blackwood pulls with polished brass pins.

Next is curly spalted BLM with Santos mahogany and the lid is curly maple with ropey quilt/pommele sapele (figure reminds me of heavy paint runs) with a handle of African blackwood.

Not much to see inside. The bottom is lined with adhesive backed velvet.

As all said, beautiful! I've always wondered on lids like #2 and #3, is expansion of the middle panel a problem? Or is there not much in such a narrow piece?

panels are too small to have measurable expansion. also, the relative humidity and temps don't significantly change around here.

Those are some real dandies. Fantastic job! Sell them as cremation urns and double your asking price.
