I have some Ceanothus burl that has been air dried for about a year, some of them longer. I have 17 pieces available (labeled C1 through C17). Apparently I can only upload 10 pics at a time, so I guess I'll have to start with only 5 pieces (C1 through C5). There are two photos for each piece, one front and one back and labeled with max dimensions.

Most of the burls have charring on the outside which actually can give a nice color gradient near the edge. I have made a lot of pens and small turnings from these and I like to incorporate the color gradient sometimes. The charring doesn't usually effect the interior of the burl too much.
These are all pretty thick as you will see. Pricing is at the bottom and includes shipping.

    Here's the first five (C1 to C5)

    Prices Include shipping to CONUS:

    C1 $75
    C2 $75
    C3 $85
    C4 $95
    C5 $210

Update: C2 and C3 have sold.

Here is C6. Price $60 shipped. It is discounted due to some voids on the end and one side. I'm basically charging for the one side of the blank that appears to be completely solid which would be a 3" x 3.5" x 7" chunk.

    Here are a few more:

    Prices include shipping.

For those of you who like to know the weight of the burl, I've included it after the price. All the burls are pretty well dried. Been drying 1 to 2 years moisture content reads about 18% (with my Wagner L601 Meter) and that's about as low as I get living this close to the ocean. Sometimes I get down to 16% on some species.

    C7: $250 (13.6 Lbs.)
    C8: $175 (12 Lbs.)
    C9: $120 (6 Lbs.)
    C10: $125 (6.8 Lbs.)

Yes, it is like Manzanita, although in my experience with manzanita the color and figure has not been as nice consistent or as nice. I find more inclusions in the Manzanita as well.

That's nice looking stuff Joel, I had to google the wood, never heard of it. One of the first hits was some people on Etsy who made stuff from it, said it was found, burned and on the beach, in Santa Barbara. must be a "thing" in Santa Barbra lol

Ya, you don't hear of it much because most of the time you'd kill yourself trying to remove these from the ground on the side of a sheer mountain face:) The fires we've had for the last several years have made them obtainable. I try to get to them before they get to the beach so I don't have sand to deal with in my tooling!

    Update: C1, C2, C3, and C6 have been SOLD.

Here are the last of what I have available right now, I also consolidated the pricing of what is left form earlier posts.

Note about moisture content: I've noticed through the years that air dried lumber in my area of the coast reaches an equilibrium moisture content of about 16%. I through my meter on all of them today to double check moisture... most of the burl is about there. There are a few of the thicker ones that have a bit to go. I've added MC to all listed below.

    Prices INCLUDE Shipping:

    C4: $95 ( 7 Lbs. / 16% moisture content)
    C5: $210 (12.5 Lbs. / 28% moisture content)
    C7: $250 (13.6 Lbs. / 28% moisture content)
    C8: $175 (12 Lbs. / 20% moisture content)
    C9: $120 (6 Lbs. / 17% moisture content)
    C10: $125 (6.8 Lbs. / 17% moisture content)
    C11: $27.50 (3 Lbs. / 17% moisture content)
    C12: $85 (3.8 Lbs. / 16% moisture content)
    C13: $48 (3.4 Lbs. / 17% moisture content)
    C14: $120 (7 Lbs. / 28% moisture content)
    C15: $130 (11.2 Lbs / 21% moisture content)
    C16: $150 (7.6 Lbs. / 24% moisture content)
    C17: $165 (8.2 Lbs. / 18% moisture content)
