Yesterday, I was finally able to cut up some apple wood that I cut down about a year back. The trees were mostly rotten and were a hazard. I was able to get some decent pieces but I am not sure if I should wait a few months and let the wood air dry then put in the kiln or just go ahead and put it in the kiln now. After drying, the pieces will be cut into 8”- 12” x 16” sizes and likely used to make river pours using resin. Currently, the moisture content is 22% to 24 %.
