Hi,
The parts are simple, (nuts and saddles are almost rectangular, made of a single piece of wood each) and small, but they are important for the sound of the instrument. [photos below to give an idea of shape - thanks to ripjack13 for the suggestion ]
I've selected the wood for it's outstanding acoustic properties, African Blackwood, and I can provide the wood. It can be allergenic, so may require proper shop hood vac to remove dust, but is not toxic. (it's in the rosewood family, like cocobolo etc, it's used for flutes and guitars)
There would be 2 sets of nut and saddle for guitar and 2 sets for ukulele, for a total of 8 pieces (2 guitar nuts, 2 guitar saddles, 2 ukulele nuts, 2 ukulele saddles).
I can send the original nut and saddle from my guitar and ukulele to use as a guide for size and shape, or send photos and measurements.
Thanks,
Oliver
