I am looking for crotch grain or other figured walnut for a two piece gunstock (shotgun). Piece one needs to be 17" long min., 7" wide and 3" thick (12/4). a second piece needs to be 12" long and 2 1/2 x 3 Or one long piece= 3" thick by 29" long and 7" wide.

Lots of pieces on ebay but more than I want to pay.

If you have piece I might be interested in PM photos and price.

Thanks.

I might have something, I'll look, but on EBAY, check out QuakingAspen and Woodmizer1978 . QuakingAspen, lot of their stuff, it will start out low, but it's also, very nice so , watch it, it will go up in price. Woodmizer1978, he's here in Ky. Kind of hit and miss on his listings, but has some nice quality walnut, cherry, and other selections available.

If your interested I've got a phone number for a guy who has a huge stash of walnut blanks for stocks. He travels all over buying and sawing walnut for gun stock material. Prices start as low as $25 per blank and go up from there.

Just a little curious, what kind of price range are you trying to stay in? high and low?

I am in the $100-$300 range. I watch a very very very nice blank just close for $455 on Ebay, to rich for my blood.
