Posted by request but open to anyone. Material is 50+ years air dried. Obviously cracked, but much more stable than what you would buy commercially - if you have worked a lot of pink ivory, you will feel the difference immediately. Color is more red than other piece, provided a few comps to try to give color match.

I have some miniral stained Osage small logs I'd trade for this or your other piece. Few cherry burls. Some hybrid blanks. Or about anything domestic to Ohio you can think of lol

I let this sit for a bit because cherry burl is a tough one for me. I think it's beautiful, so every few years I get all excited about doing something with it. Then I start cutting it and remember how many inclusions and other issues it has and how poor my yield of good material is and I swear I won't be fooled again. And then a few years go by...

I am interested in the mineral stained Osage if you want to go down that path with photos and see if we can find a match. But I think I will pass on the cherry.

Apologies. Those are nice - love the end grain shot - but I am going to pass.

If you’re still open to trades I have a few pieces of cherry and walnut that I’ve cleaned up most of the way. I noticed you were talking about inclusions in the cherry but the pieces from this slab that I have worked with have been free of anything out of the ordinary. One of the pieces has a crack (not major) that I filled with some epoxy. I’m also getting some flame maple in a little that I would be happy to part with some of it. Let me know.
