I have a seriously great deal for any woodworkers in the northern Ohio area who work with unbacked veneer.
I'm trying to make room in my shop for new tools and currently have nowhere to put thousands of Sq Ft. of beautiful figured exotic and domestic veneers and burls of many species. I used to sell this on Ebay for lots of money, but can't go that route due to time constraints, but you could do that with this. This is a take-it-all or nothing proposition, as selling small quantities will not do me any good(my table saw is covered with veneer about 2 feet high!). There are some single sheets and small flitches of great looking stuff, from about 4" to 20" wide. This is not junk but nice stuff. I really have to move this in the next few days so I can get back into commission. No trades; no room.
Some of the species include, but are not limited to:
Curly Maple and Sycamore, fiddleback and other figured Makore', figured Anigre', Swiss Pear, plain and figured Walnut, burls of several different kinds, like Claro Walnut, Olive Ash and lots of consecutive sheets of white Oak burl(needs to be flattened) and many others.
If you can pick this up by the end of this weekend, I'll let the whole lot go for $400. This is something like 10 or 20 cents on the dollar. Sorry I can't post enough pics for the same reason I can't sell on Ebay, but if you come and take a look, you will not be disappointed.
I'm in Columbia Station, SW of Cleveland.
First come, first served. This is not a scam. I just really need the room! PM me soon.
Oh yeah, there's a couple deer antlers and skulls, complete with teeth.
I still can't ship, but you may not be able to afford not to pick it up!
I'll post more pics in the next thread.

This is a real sacrifice-a large part of my personal stash.

My parents live about 4 hours away from you, but I doubt my father would be able to take a trip down to Ohio and pick it up from you and then bring it out to Minnesota on their next trip out here next month... I'd love to get into veneering...

Heck of a pile of veneer and looks like a steal of a deal... Too bad I'm not closer! It might be worth it to ship via fedex if you can't find a local buyer. If you decide to go that route, let me know.

Seriously considering asking my Dad or brother-in-law to run up there. Just have to discuss with wife a) possibility of disposing of some income and b) what I would do with it. I think that b) is the bigger question for her :)

10 hour round trip, would probably be worth it if I worked with veneer.

Thanks for the tag, but I'm still trying to thin my herd. Last thing I need is to bring more stuff into the shop.:scare3:

If Rodney passes and you're willing to split it up, I am interested in all of the non-veneer.
