I read the rules: I'm required to post

    I'm lurking.
I make epoxy tables as a hobby. Things like the attached

I'm here to try to stalk some Sellers with slabs: I want to find some unique stuff

In particular, I want some larger pieces of fire (box elder)

Nice to meet ya'll. I'll help anyone create their own epoxy tables if you ask questions!

Welcome from Colorado Harry. Wow, very, very cool tables. Will be picking your brain one of these days on these tables. For right now I am just working on some natural edge tables; nothing with large voids.......yet......

I can reply now (wonderful). The admins seem responsive on this forum!
I'll post a few more pictures!
I don't do this as a living, so I don't mind sharing any experience....with anyone

There are definitely a few lessons that will help :)

Harry, Welcome from South Texas! We do try as a group to stay on top of things. @justallan or @Mike1950 are probably your best bets for FBE slabs. Nice work, by the way! Tony

What size slabs are you needing and what thickness? I may still have some flame box elder out in the barn that should be plenty dry.

A buddy of mine has several types of South Florida woods slabs ready for tables. Let me know if you're interested.

I'd take any box elder (flame) I could find
I like the blue epoxy. And it gives a nice contrast to the red in Red Cedar or the flame box elder

Here are a few more pictures, and a picture of how desperate I've been with the BoxElder - using small blanks. This might turn out well. I'll be working on it tonight

You can see a piece of tape remaining from where the epoxy dried. Many people build jigs and pour, while I use tape. The jigs are probably a better practice.
And also the vacuum chamber that removes the air bubbles if you're going to do a clear pour (poor picture attached of a clear table - will get a better one)
