@Mike Hill has a project coming up. Wants some spectacular fronts. 22x2x10 spalted maple. It is fresh cut. But will dry fast. Not structural wood but one of your examples was the same. Now i will sell wood to others out of this thread but let me know what you want and i will start one for you. Too many people wanting too many things gets the :old: stretched thin and grumpy. This may have lots of examples.....

It would not be good strategy to say I'm wetting my pants before the price gets quoted, but so be it! Top shelf indeed!

when I cut it -the picture of your I think first example came to mind. I will measure in morning- It is not dry but I have been selling the nice spalted burl slabs for $14 a bd ft wet. More dry but not that much. I have a bunch more to cut- I would recommend dry- it dries fast. some crack- those become call blanks. Kathie has zeroed in on this for panels/drawer fronts in her new buffet. I am going to do an experiment this month -soak dry 3/8's in wood hardener to firm up.

By my thinking you sending me this wood could be saving my life. How could you live with yourself if the island did what the news says it will and I didn't have a chunk of that wood to make a paddle? It's a moral obligation to make me a screaming deal here and send it right away.
