These eight 7/8 x 5”+ with three short (4 5/8 - 4 7/8”) blanks are years dry, solid and ready to turn. Don’t do online payment and ask that you discretely put cash or a check in an envelope and mail it like a letter. $15 delivered in the US, PM to exchange info.

Nothing now but will make some when I break this down with the chain saw after black fly season.

Or how much for that piece being measured in the
Pic?
It’s years dry and solid est abt 100 lbs, if you were here could have it for $75 but shipping cost to WA will be expensive. Check it out from 03810 and let me know if your still interested.
Ok great!! When is black fly over?

And do you need a license to catch black flies?
Hope so be over by Memorial Day. Google black flies in NH to learn all about them.

John,

If that is 100% white oak, as in Quercus alba, I am looking to add a sample to the wood collection if sizes work out. Samples finish at 3" wide by 6" long by 1/2" thick. Thank you.

It’s difficult to figure the ship cost not knowing
The dimensions of the 100# package.
An USPS wants 70# pkg max

Hey John,
When you get to cutting some more of that white oak, I would buy two or three small blocks for reel seat spacers. I'd need them 1" X 1" X 4" or close to that. I thought about buying the above but so often the hole I drill wanders off to the side so I stick to 1 inch blocks now. No pits or cracks though. The 4th and 5th from the left in your first photo are the kind of color / grain that I think would turn nice. Thanks.

Mark, this is a truing cutoff from the pen blanks burl. It’s abt 3/8” at its thickest but if it’ll work for your collection PM me your address.

That is like a knife, cutting so sharp at the heart strings.....I thank you for the offer but ask to pass. One reason, being of so much edgrain, it runs a risk of being more fragile. If no one else wants, I think I would say yes and cut it in half and laminate the 2 halves to get finish thickness.

Does that sound sensible?

It’s yours if you want it just tell me where to send it, else wait til the other burl gets cut up to your spec.
