Looking for some advice: what is a good finish you have used on an Olivewood bowl, that will cure to a satin or semi-gloss. Would General Finishes Wood Bowl Finish be a good choice? I ask about this finish because I have a can of it. But I am not sure it would be good because the wood is so oily. What do you guys use?

I used 2 coats of straight walnut oil on this olive wood box. Brought out the color and smoothness.
Not shiny at all once it dried.

if your finish is water based, it should be fine, shellac and lacquer work well with olive too.
