Results of the first trip with the boy. Part of a reward for earning First Class rank for Boy Scouts.
He had done Ruger 10/22 and 12 gauge skeet several times at camps, but this was the first time with an AR-type and handgun.
The first picture is from a Bear Creak Arsenal AR9 at 10 to 25 yards. You'll see the red dot was a little high. The lower left is where I told him to aim for the middle of the pie wedge at 6:00 - and he put them all in the blue.
Second pic is the AR9 at 5 to 7 yds. 1=testing the red dot. 2 = 14 Freedom rounds by me. 3 = 15 peace pills by the boy (aiming at the 8).
Third pic is the boy punching holes.
He handled the .45 like a champ. His group was high to the left in the 8/9 area, but it was a solid group. Better than many I've seen with the Beretta 92.
Thought I would share the moment with some of my friends.
Stay froggy and keep your powder dry.
