Very cool! I suppose the same method could be used for slip bobbers?
Would basswood work instead of balsa? Or is it just not light enough?
Sure can! They are trickier to turn tho without breaking the stem. I make them for myself and that's it. Lol.

Basswood will work just fine I imagine. Heck about anything that floats I've even used cork before but it is gnarly to turn.
