Yes there is a large wood and yard waste recycling place near me that I have permission to pick through, whatever I see that looks interesting and I can get in the back of my pickup is mine. I havent bothered to hunt or take down trees on my own for a quite a while now. I give the owner a turned piece every once in a while to keep him happy, I'm very fortunate

Got the Vitex yesterday. Very nice and colorful. That had to be a good sized tree. We have them all over town here but not too many of that size. I would say that I would post a pic of what I did with but that just might be a pic of it on a coffee table. Thanks again.

glad you like it, yes it is colorful, got ahold of a bit of it fresh cut a few years ago and I couldn't believe the colors in it, yellow, purple, green, and brown. doesn't dry worth a darn tho and that piece wrecked beyond use. and the purple fades out over time as you can see, and the other colors aren't as brilliant as when green...
