This is WEN's largest lathe it weighes in at 126 pounds . It is brand new never used. It was shipped damaged so WEN let me keep it for the hassle that I want through to get a replacement. I believe that the problem is capacitor and it's on their website for $11 when you turn onto unit it starts for a second then turns itself back off and you can't start it for another 5 minutes with the research I did it's the capacitor most likely but I can't guarantee that here is a link to the unit. BTW I have one and love it.

I thought about keeping it for parts but the thing is high taking up a lot of space in the shop. It comes with everything that is listed on their website. I will trade it for BURL and ONLY BURL, so if you're a tinker and have some cool burl hit me up.

@aag562 here are some pictures just to get us started if we’re on the right track. I have enough maple burl and spalted maple that you could want. These are examples of what I have. Let me know if anything catches your eye.

a thought just went through my mind that this might be one of the craziest deals on here.......(am not suggesting this should be the deal, just being a woodbarter gallery commenter): 126 lbs of burl for a 126 pound lathe. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Again, just kidding around, am NOT trying to mess with the deal OR offer an alternative. I have 3 pounds of burl to my name.

Best wishes to all!!!!!

Haha. We’re more going for value for value instead of weight for weight. We’ll see if it works out! :)

The first lathe I ever owned @Bean_counter traded it to me for some Mesquite.

How's this you put together what you would think is a fair deal and we can go from there. I prefer live edge pieces more than solid chunks, but solid chunks with lots of figure are good too. You have "a kid in a candy store" situation so I will leave it up to you. I will go down the stairs and take pic so you can see the machine and you will be able to see its never been used.

Manual, faceplate, live center, spur and tools are still untouched. As you can see i powered it up and this is what I get. I did look up 1 horsepower motors for this and it's easily replaced. As someone who is just learning to turn i see no reason for me to hang onto it. To keep it for parts is kind of silly also all the cast iron will be here way longer than me. I have not tried to sell it locally, haven't had time nor need I just thought that a trade for something I am looking for sounded like a good idea for all of you here wondering what My intentions are.

Sorry for not getting pics up today. It will most likely be Friday.

I wish I had more exotics in my collection but have a ton of maple burl that I’ve gotten locally here.

No worries. Living in Maine we still have a lot of snow, I'm itching to get in the woods and find some myself

@aag562 let’s start with this. This would fill up (5) usps large flat rate boxes. I value at $50 per box for wood and $20 per box for shipping. If I can ship them cheaper through ups I will.

I can swap out any pieces that you don’t want. I will fill any empty spaces in the box with live edge burl pieces.

the spalted maple Burl is wet and 100% needs to be stabilized. I’d recommend stabilizing all of these pieces.

These pieces look small in the pictures but they’re big chucks that fill up (5) usps large flat rate. 12”x12”x5”
