Hello all,
I'm new at this forum thing, but just wanted to introduce myself and say hey to everyone. My name is Mike Hinshaw, and I look forward to learning more about woodworking from the experience of this group of woodworkers. Woodworking has been a hobby for years. I've made small furniture, & crafts, and have been turning pens for about 15 years. I was a vocational education teacher (mostly technical & arch. drafting) for 31 years and now work at a summer camp.

And from Colorado Mike, welcome. Have a friend in our turning club out here that is also a retired vocational teacher. Sure wish schools were keeping these programs. Sad to see.

Welcome from SE Texas!
If I’d stayed in Teaching (Biology, Physical Science, Marine Science, Chemistry, etc) I’d either be retired or thinking about it— but a “door” opened about 28 yrs ago and changed everything.
Lots of friends you haven’t met yet here.
