Habu box

    This was ordered by a couple in Japan.
    The Habu is a venomous snake indigenous to Okinawa.
    15H X 6 1/2W X 5 1/2 deep.
    Walnut and maple. 2 coats of Watco, 3 coats of rattle can Helmsman poly.
    Drawers are flocked inside.

    I had forgotten about Habu. When we lived there our mamasan used to remind my sister and me everytime we go out to play in the forests "You ta-loo wash fo mah-moo-shi!" Funny she never warned us against Habu. :dunno:

    I guess because Mamushi were much more common.

    Mamushi seem to be limited to just mainland Japan. According to the Okinawans I spoke with, the Habu is pretty much a resident of that island.
    Both are nasty, though. At least a Diamondback warns you.:scare3:
