thank you for letting me join. I am primarily a woodturner. I enjoy processing my own stock - log to finished project. I have access to a lot of different types of wood - at least if it is native to Kansas. Looking forward to learning from the group.

this is a winged bowl from Mesquite that I got from my local Turning club - It was the first one like this I've done. It was a little scary working on a 'propeller' :) But, I think it turned out pretty well

Jim, Welcome from South Texas! Great work on that winged bowl! I turned one out of Texas Ebony, it is a bit scary!

I'm a huge fan of your work on TV and movies, particularly Space Cowboys!:sarcastic:

I get it all the time - I can pretty accurately predict the age of a person by whether they bring up Maverick or Rockford. :)

I once had a guy tell me in a phone interview that if I showed up for the face to face meeting in a gold TransAm, I had the job! It would have been great to be able to do it and see his face :D

Welcome! I am also in Kansas, primarily doing hobby work up stream haha. I enjoy the chainsaw side of the lumber/carpentry trade.

If you ever want a hand milling any timber, or trading/selling tools and or wood let me know!
