I've been lurking on this site for a while, finally joined up.

I've been known to make a few turkey strikers! I keep over 50 types of wood in stock and turn strikers all year long.

Here's a pile of Macassar I made a while back.

Thanks,
Jeff

Welcome from Bulverde, Texas! Do you have a favorite wood species to work with? Those turkey strikers are pure perfection! Chuck

Nice looking pieces there! Does the extra length affect the sound, or is another reason for it? Calls too, or just strikers?
Got a web site for wood sales?

They aren't much longer, could be my design or the camera angle making them look longer than what you're used to seeing.
But to answer your question, just about anything you do to that stick will have an effect on the sound it makes.

I dont make calls, just the strikers. And do most of my business through facebook...
