    Very old Chinese Tallow.

    These halves are 18" long and 12" wide.

    The heartwood is beautiful and is 8" +- (coated in BLO to show the colors)

    Standing dead for a few years and has some small bug damage, but not much in the heartwood.

    Blanks will be cut from these halves.

    How 'bout $1.50 an inch. (+ shipping cost)

    @Nature Man

    Introduced in the 1700's by none other than Benjamin Franklin (some claim)....and it's considered an invasive by most every State.

    Older growth stuff (50+ yrs) has extraordinary heartwood.

    Just throwing this out there. If you don’t get takers for it all. I would take

    (2) 3x3x6 PM blanks in a padded envelope

    :saw:

    I was thinkn trying to cut it up to fit in a MFRB...that's only $13.65

    Decent chunks and good bowl sizes as well

    Mike is checking on some shipping costs for the full half...

    I’m glad you mentioned the 50+ years because the Chinese tallow I have does not have heart wood that color. :blush:

    @Lou Currier

    I've also read some forums where people talk of it being soft...this stuff is hard as a rock.

    Seasoned pretty good too. Heartwood is 15-17% MC Sapwood is higher but it's not had bark in a while.

    I may be a little late here, but would also be interested. I would buy a flat rate box full - if that works out, pick the size that fits your material and pm me cost including shipping.

    If Mike takes the one and you cut Stans blanks out, figure what the rest would cost shipped to 24382.
