My main interest nowadays is turning, bowls, spin tops, walking sticks and so on. I enjoy freeshaping too, making jewelry, bookends, display stands, artistic pieces etc. Comfortable enough with tools to build a home and furnish it too. I harvest a lot of my own wood and craft the lumber and blanks for various projects, like the osage orange (harvested in Iowa) show in my profile picture.

Howdy Craig , welcome to the club....
I like your chopsticks. I have some tulipwood set aside to make a set. Have you seen the Bridge City chopsticks master jig? It's pretty cool, but it can't be that hard to make a set.

Have not seen any books or jigs, I cut pieces about a quarter inch square and 10 or so inches long and shape them entirely by hand while watching sports on TV.
My wife has a few that I have made, shown here. I have given several as gifts.

Um, in the shop or your living room?
I highly doubt my wife would let me work in the living room. LOL

    You could try!

Then put up pictures of the knot on your head where she smacked you with the frying pan.
