This was a special order for a customer to present to her husband for their anniversary, Display case for his pen collection. Used 100 year old reclaimed Butternut and White Oak, this one was about 65% unplugged. Finished with 3 coats satin poly, rubbed out and waxed. It'll get delivered this afternoon.

C and C welcome

Having seen this one in person (pre-finish), I can say that this is a nicely done piece!

When I delivered it this afternoon she flipped out in happiness, pretty sure he'll appreciate it.

Good looking Colin! How many pens does it hold?

With the tray liners she selected it holds a total of 30, (they are tray liners from a jewelry supply place I order from plus it is their 30th wedding anniversary) if I'd used the other tray liners it'd hold 54 but she said his collection was mostly bigger fat pens so this made more sense. If he wants the others down the road they just drop in so easy to switch out.

Looks great, now all you got to do is sell her enough pens to fill it up, and you can build him another! :good:
