Sitting out on the patio and I noticed that we had some curling leaves on our ash tree.

Take a closer look, there's some sort of little creatures on it.

I cut off that little branch, put it in a zip lock bag, took it to the local garden shop.

Bad news: bugs in the ash tree. Good news: aphids, not borers.

From the garden shop point of view: Good news: bugs contained in sealed plastic bag :)

So they recommended a systemic solution that we applied. I also have a bunch of ladybugs on the way that'll be here later this week.

Should be a good time as we'll have the youngest two local grandkids over to help release the bugs.

That sounds like it could be fun! Might want to get the video camera out, could be a classic moment or two.

Thank goodness for that. We have been decimated by the EAB here in Michigan. A lot more trees in the rivers I fish this year and last.
