I made this from a knot on a pecan tree. I saw another guy on YouTube turn a big knot so I thought I would give it a try. It started out where it had two limbs coming off of it that got broke off and when they stopped growing it was actually wider then the limb itself. So instead of trying to go all the way down and make it even I just decided to round off those knobs and leave it at that. I tried not to go too deep because I didn't want to end up cutting all the way through to where that one indentation was. I think I may try more knots in the future. It's four and a half inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. I must have deleted the pictures that I had of it when I first cut it off

    Thanks
    Robert

I think if you did keep hollowing and bust out the side of the indentation it would look cool!!!

Man, there is so much potential in that piece. I hope you collected a lot of it. It would be real easy to remount and go for the voids. As long as you have sharp tools, and introduce them properly, and a safe speed, catches can be almost non existent. ................. Jerry (in Tucson)
