Started processing the first wood of the season today, smaller chunk of some figured maple. Didn’t get too far, hit a nail so the big chunk will have to wait for a sharpened chain. Like it so far.

This one is so cool and no, I am not on kool aid, but these are “wings”……..”Angel wings”……..either down or up orientation! You have to do something super special with those!

Pareidolia… I see a pig L boxing a wolf R. They’re 3” thick, could make clones.
Ooooooo - good word! I guess Lil Mikey is in pragmatic mode today - All he sees is prurient-worthy wood just waiting to be turned on a lathe! John, it is always with great elation and great hankering that I view your blanks!!!

All he sees is prurient
Toss out “fenestrations” while it deals with opening and replace it with the big word of the week, “prurient”……….throwing shades in classic lit. from D.H. Lawrence, John Cleland, Gustav Flaubert’s……… are those on your nightstand (correct term is actually bedside table, lol) for nightly bedside reading………..may I remind you this is not that kind of forum Lil’Mikey :nodice: :sarcastic:
