My Gson (8) likes the shop but most tools are too large. He has turned a couple of things.
Then I remembered by old scroll saw, just a cheap Ryobi about $100 20 years ago.
It is the pin type and there does not seem to be a large assortment of blades with the pin.
Do you think these will be somewhat durable for an eight year old?


I only found one on this chart for pin type and reverse teeth.

Our local Menards has a ton of variety in pin end blades. What length do you need? Message me and I'll send you some I have around I'll never use if they're the right length (bought a bunch and then sold the saw, current saw uses pinless ones)

Great gesture Colin,
Mike I am sure most any of the pin end blades will be fine, since the entry hole has to be large enough to get the pin through as well ( for interior cuts anyway) the blade thickness is most likely quite thick which should be fine for most cuttings.
I believe the scroll saw is a great choice for younger woodworks.
