Well we hit the mill one last time before SWAT. Grabbed two cherry logs this morning. Both were 28" diameter. Cut all 3", 4" and 5" thick for bowl blanks. Cut almost to the pith, flipped and went again. Stood the leftover up and sawed 1×4's down to the pith, flipped and did it again. Cut the 1×4's for pot calls.
Someone brought some chestnut rafters out of an old community building. We sawed some 1× out of what we could. They are going to make picture frames for some older members of the community with it.

Have one or two 5" thick slabs on the trailer to cut up. I think they are 20" wide too. May leave a few that wife but probably split them into 10".

Danged, always my luck. If SWAT was the next month (Sept) I could relieve you of some big cherry and some of that chestnut if any was leftover. September, I'll be in Texas for Dad's 90th birthday and Lil Mikey's 50th HS reunion!
