bat guana happens on that buffing wheel; been there and done that many times Mo. Not inattention, it only takes a heartbeat, turn something the wrong way, push a it a little too hard, try to get at a hard to reach spot, and whatever was in your hand being buffed, is bouncing off the table, the wall across the room, the floor, the side of your head, or all the aforementioned in rapid order.

I agree Rocky. Since there usually aren't any platforms to help support what you are buffing, you really need to develop total control of what you are buffing. Also, since most woodturners only use a buffer for short periods, we will never get total control like someone working in a factory that uses a buffer for 8 hours a day. ................
