Found out about Wood Barter from Spinartist when he came up to do some demos for our club. Have been turning for about 3 years, started with spindles and pens, then bowls, and starting to eyeball some hollow forms. Am extremely fortunate to be in an outstanding club here, and about 90% of what I have learned has been at Wednesday Night open turning sessions graciously hosted by a master turner with 30 years of experience. First lathe was a Delta midi from my wife. Also was lucky enough last year to find and acquire a 1996 Nichols lathe (about 150 made), built like a tank and able to handle up to 40" dia. turnings.
