Maple shallow bowl/dish... whatever

Went and visited @tocws2002 a few weeks ago to get some veneer for some upcoming turnings I want to try. Besides getting some sweet veneer he gave me this piece of maple 12x2. Could tell it had some figure but didn't know how good it would look once turned and could actually see it. There was a void I should have filled but didn't notice it until I was done and had it sanded so nicely I said screw it haha.

Great looking bowl, Joe. It has everything I look for in wood, except for that crack. It seems we just can't get away from them....... I like that Mini Shepard in the first picture............ Jerry (in Tucson)

Thanks everyone, and my dog says thanks for calling her micro bc the vet says she's fat haha, I say she's just big boned.

That's a beauty! I actually like the crack and how it picks up the curve of the grain. Nice turning.
