Did you see my pm?I’m in Hollywood Park. I can show you what is probably the most extensive wood collection in Texas. Looks like you got hammered last night in Bulverde with rain.

Would love to see it. Thanks! We can chat further over PM. We did get a couple of inches of rain in about 30 minutes time. Fortunately, no hail that I know of. ChuckI’m in Hollywood Park. I have no idea what it’s worth in dollars but I'm kinda obsessed with it (meaning I’m possessive) I’m willing to gift a piece to Mark for his collection in exchange for his expertise since he’s local and a forester/arborist and I just work with local woods.
Send me a DM offer- thanks!
If @Randinko, decides to post a piece for sale in the for sale section, he could tag you with first dibs.
In my opinion, as he was just responding to Mark and showing what he had (without indicating he had any intention to trade or sell specific pieces), you would be well within the rules to send him a private message indicating interest (and even what you'd be willing to pay or trade, if you so choose) if he would sell a particular piece. If he was willing, he'd then need to post it in the for sale section and give you dibs... if you pass, it would be available to any others.
I'm sure a mod will come along and correct me if I'm misinterpreting the rules, but as I understand it such discussions of potential interest (in items not listed for sale) is kosher as long as they then get posted and concluded in open forum.
i appreciate the offer, but it doesn't work that way on wood barter. sales must be open and transparent. i have no idea of it's value either. i'll watch and see if you decide you want to sell some on here, maybe i'll be the first to respond. maybe i'll miss out.
Just trying to get to know a few contacts for wood and make some new friends- I guess this forum may be too complicated
Randy, do you have any branches that could turn into a pen? So maybe 1" x 1" x 5"?Hey Mark-
I have a bit of guayacan from Lasalle County. Uncut and unfinished branches. what size do you need?
