Could be a maple if 1/4 sawn just right.... Any bark? If so show and tell us how thick it is...

19B2523C-D8E1-4955-9E47-09E3C845951C.jpeg It is indeed quarter dawn sycamore. I I don’t think I had ever seen sycamore lumber before. Most of it is pretty small thus far.

You can see a piece with bark still on in the first picture (middle here).

Left to right (I think): black walnut with soft/porous spalt edge, sycamore, spalted silver maple, not sure of species of piece on the far right (only a few in yesterday’s load). There was also a decent amount of oak with a thick spalted edge, and few other species that I cannot ID.
