This is ow I spent my Good Friday, slabbing some maple, cutting some rounds. Slabs and rounds 11/4, lots of spalting. good work out to say the least

It's the first rounds I've cut. I just started harvesting wood last year. I've been slabbing most of the logs but I was limited on the length of my mill. These are about 28". I'm thinking a nice cocktail table or end table to go with the wood slab. Just put them up and stickered them.

I would recommend end sealer but even then they often crack, if you wait til they dry, they may survive ok or they may split into pizza slices. I have personally had both happen. I prefer at least a coat of paint. A single coat of paint wont seal them as tight as anchor seal so they will dry a little faster than anchor sealed.
