I am new to the forum, but not new to woodworking. I do a variety of small projects including lots of hobby stuff. I like to build boxes and to do a variety turning projects. I also have a small retirement/hobby business building travel sized mountain dulcimers.

I am a fairly recent transplant from the mid atlantic region (Baltimore area). I moved here about 5 years ago a couple years after retiring.

I also am into bicycling backpacking and other outdoors stuff. I like to trail ride on my mountain bike and have done some long road tours on my bicycle including going coast to coast a couple times camping as I went.

Here is a little one that easily packs in a carry on bag. This one is made from pecan salvaged from an orchard planted in Cotton, GA around 1840 and recently bulldozed. My local wood guy stumbled on it and salvaged some of it. He is a master at finding and salvaging interesting lumber.

Welcome from Colorado. Come "ride the peaks" out here, gorgeous country on a bicycle. Me, I prefer to motor up the peaks, but I know others love to torture themselves peddling. Gorgeous work.

I have done a little riding there both on the first coast to coast trip and on a subsequent trip there. Colorado is indeed a beautiful state. We met a lot of motorcyclists on our tours they tended to be kindred spirits. I guess we both just loved the open road.
