Hey all! Been in the world of wood working as long as I can remember. East coast of the Americas! Done a bit of wood working up and down the entire east coast. Love practical and artistic wood projects. My favorite wood project I've ever been a part of was milling fallen mahogany after a huge storm and then making placards for the local botanical gardens out of said mahogany! Project I enjoyed the least? Finishing some caustic Brazilian knock off of mahogany. (The saw dust was something akin to chemical warfare) I love wood and enjoy scrolling on Forums. Figured this would be a great outlet for both!

Welcome from West TN. What the botanical name for that Brazilian wood? Sounds like something I want to stay away from.

I think it was Entandrophragma cylindricum or sapele we were installing doors in an office. Finished indoor on site :scare3:. Usually use to Swietenia mahogany being that the island I lived on it grew wildly. Of course had on ppe but due to poor ventilation it inevitably became an issue.
