That's a great price on what would be an excellent starter lathe.

Wish it was on the other end of the state! That's almost tempting!! You got room to store it for awhile?

Been a rash of nice lathe deals up here, but for much more money than that.

Jet 14 x 42 in Jacksonville. With 42" Vega Duplicator - Have seriously contemplated this one. For the price with duplicator it's a steal.
(Have a neighbor building Cedar Slice tables, has me turning legs for him. Turned 30 somewhat square 16" legs of varying dimensions to 1 1/2" round legs last batch. The duplicator would eliminate a lot of headaches trying to get consistent precise dimensions. I'm getting in the +/- 0.02" - 0.04" range now. And, honestly get pretty damn close just eyeballing it/feeling it on clean pieces. Pieces with knots tend to throw me eyeballing/feeling it though. )

(Oh... No I'm not charging him, buddy's dad, they have a new 28" mill parked in the backyard!) :good2:

    -----------------

Nova 1624 II - w/turning tools, face shield, chuck, bowl blanks, pen blanks, pen kits, drill bits, Wolverine Jig... less than 2 years old, used very little.

    ----------------

Then there is this package deal...

Shop Fox 1758 - (Don't know when he bought it for $1500, it's half again that now.)
    Delta Midi Benchtop
Delta Grinder with shapening jigs attached
Turning Tools - Not just one or two either!!

(This one may be a member of the turning club down there in Day, FL - Lee.)

    ---------------

And, then... there is the 10' Vega Lathe with Duplicator! This one is a steal!! But, I'd look funny turning ink pens and mini-bowls on it!
