With 2025 starting, I venture into my 12th year of producing the show. With almost 1000 episodes on the channel, I hope to continue to bring some interesting and informative content over the next year. I hope you will take the time to like and subscribe and more importantly, I hope you enjoy the show.
Thanks to all those who have supported me over the past 11 years. Here's looking forward to year 12.

Enjoyed the bow making. Quick comment you can discount if you like. Tiger striped maple is curly maple but curly maple is not necessarily tiger striped / tiger maple. Tiger is a term reserved to describe a form of curly maple that has the funnel of the curl tapering at the ends as that seen with the stripes in the fur coat of the common Tiger.

See how the one on the left can easily be called both Tiger and Curly, but the one on the right looks more like stacked curls lacking that weaving pattern we see with a tiger's coat? Yes, splitting hairs in some ways. I often cop-out and call things figured to limit issue.

Split all the hairs you like. I welcome the information. Thanks for chiming in with that. I never knew that and always figured they were one and the same. Great info.

Do you run it everyday? Just 2 of us, so it would take a week for us to fill, maybe longer. Assume it might smell if just sitting there to fill over several days. Or does the charcoal handle that too? Did you see an increase in your electric bill? Would the finish product work well in the wood stove or pellet stove. Other than bones and egg shells, can't say we ever have food scraps.

Nice project....but the time to change the roll...wife...well. She said if you grooved the top and bottom piece and tabbed the removeable side to fit in the grooves and had the one end cap glued to it, you could just slide it out and change the roll with out the mechanical hassle of a screwdriver. I smiled and said, "Ya sure..."

We run it when it is full and haven't noticed any odours yet. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 days before the machine is run through its cycle. If we are worried about meat in there, we just run it. It doesn't burn much hydro and you don't have to have it full to run the cycle. Not sure if it would work in the wood stove or pellet stove. I've never tried.

Sometimes when we watch your videos, I get informed... However, I see her point, a little extra in the build could save hours. Did you intend to keep the film holder in place or take the whole thing down to change out? I like her slide out thought, roll change in under a minute versus, clean hands, find the tools, perform action....

I said no, not building it. Need to clean the shop first.

The whole thing was intended to be taken down when changing the roll....hence the keyhole slots for installation. There's always an alternative method to do things.

Shooting in the shop....ok, you do have some Redneck in you. Enjoyed todays video. By the way, saw a tree crew called 'A Cut Above' yesterday and thought of you.
I've got more redneck in me than most folks think.
