My 2 HP Jet 220 dust collector remote quit working. It would turn on the machine but not turn it off. Numerous battery changes and resetting did nothing. Jet sent me a new relay which I switched out in the black box and still the same problem. Now their sending me a whole new black box but it won't be here for a month.
Based on some recommendations I bought a remote from Penn State Industries thinking I could just by pass the Jet remote completely. Wrong. The third party remote will not turn the machine on, I have to use the green button on the machine itself. It will turn it off however.
It looks like I could use the Jet remote to turn it on and the Penn State unit to turn it off but that's ridiculous.
Someone suggested the switch on the Jet may be a magnetic switch so only the Jet will work?
Anyone have any suggestions? I can send the Penn State Unit back to Amazon.
