Super happy! I got a good deal on a lightly used Dewalt scroll saw today, came with the light and stand. I probably wont use the stand though because I keep my scroll saw on a flip top cart to save space. It was a decent buy at $230, guy was asking $250, I think there around $500 ish new. I have wanted one of these for a long time, they dont go cheap around here when they do come up. So I am pleased with this one, everything works as it should, just needs a little cleaning and wax on the table.

My 16" delta will now be sold. I made a lot of stuff with the delta but this is a serious upgrade from that.

If you lived a little closer I would buy the stand. I have had that saw for a few years and have been looking for a used stand.
    It is a good saw.

Or he can review the lessons on my YouTube channel. LOL.

Nice score Greg. I looks like it's in great condition. You'll be happy with this saw. I worked on one for years and it never let me down. Congrats on the new addition to the shop.
On another note, the DeWalt stand is nice because you can adjust the rear leg to tilt the saw which makes your work a little easier to see without having to hunch over the saw. Either way, nicely done.

Actually I'm an accomplished scroller, fretwork is what I love to do. Been awhile since I have scrolled, this may motivate me.
Not quite sure what I am going to do with the stand yet. I have a vintage delta saw that I may adapt to this stand. But if it's not an easy task to do without molesting the stand I may sell it. I could take it apart and ship it as Marc suggested.

That's an interesting idea, I wonder what that cost to have done? For now I'll clean it up and wax it. It was stored in an unheated garage and you know what that does to unprotected cast iron. It's got some very light rusting on the table, a scotch brite pad and some wd40 will clean it right off. The rest of the machine is like new. I'm pretty tickled to have scored this saw.

Maybe it's already in the works but we don't want others honing in on it so we brush it off. :lol2:
